Commitments to society
COPASVIC calls on the authorities to bring together the different partners concerned by poverty in order to work towards a global solution of the problem. Our organization is committed to having the problem of poverty recognized by the political world, so that everyone's right to a normal life is recognized and applied. In this sense, we are committed to obtaining the necessary legal and financial bases so that all, children, youth and adults, can acquire the basic minimum standard of living. COPASVIC encourages the business community to develop self-help and support for disadvantaged and sick people. It is convinced that such action contributes to the increase of the competitiveness of the companies by raising the standard of living, the skills and the versatility of the least qualified personnel. It allows this staff to integrate the technological evolution, to remain in contact with the companies in mutation and thus prevents unemployment. COPASVIC also promotes the inclusion of any person in a disadvantaged situation in the organization and the social and economic functioning in order to allow him/her access - especially through a quality reception and simple administrative procedures - to all the services, activities and information of the city
Prevention
Prevention of precarious living must be understood as a process that begins at birth and continues beyond compulsory schooling and training. Its aim is to contribute to the learning of a trade and, above all, to the acquisition of reading and writing skills in order to take charge of one's life. COPASVIC initiates or participates in prevention and awareness-raising projects, in particular through dialogue with the underprivileged and educational circles and by building networks of partners.
COPASVIC develops research aimed at better understanding the problem of poverty and the social, economic and political context in which it manifests itself. It also considers research as a fundamental tool for defining its action strategies and measuring their effectiveness. Other research is aimed at the development of a pedagogy adapted to vulnerable people with disabilities and the use of manual tools and new technologies in training.
Commitments to the different actors
COPASVIC considers volunteer work as a voluntary act. It is committed to valuing volunteer work. It mobilizes and secures the loyalty of people ready to commit themselves by guaranteeing them a welcome and a quality supervision and by specifying the tasks to be accomplished. It provides information, training and follow-up in relation to the activity carried out.
Commitments to salaried employees
COPASVIC is committed to providing a work environment that allows for the development and constant improvement of skills and to valuing the work accomplished. It is committed to respecting the "statute of salaried personnel" and the procedures defined for the management of contracts and human resources. We are a non-profit organization and do not intend to receive any profits from our activities. Funds obtained from income-generating programs should benefit the target populations (people from areas of unparalleled poverty) of these programs or be directly reinvested in the organization's development activities, humanitarian action, non-conventional training, rehabilitation of infrastructure benefiting the poor, and development education.
Each collaborator commits to respect the charter of the NGO as well as the documents presented in the preamble. Each employee undertakes to work in a targeted manner to achieve them. The collaborators make available to other members or groups of the organization their experience, their knowledge and the material developed in the course of their work.
